Step-by-Step: Loading Audio Files into the Alcorn McBride A/V Binloop HD

  1. Format the CompactFlash (CF) Card (If your CF card already has working audio files, skip to Step 2):

    • Power on the Binloop HD without any CF card inserted.
    • Press and hold the Test Button, which is the gray button located above each reproducer slot (e.g., channel #1). The status LED may flash red, indicating no card is present.
    • While holding the Test Button, insert the CF card into the slot for the selected channel. The status LED will turn orange, indicating the formatting process has begun.
    • Wait until the status LED turns off, signaling that formatting is complete. You can now remove the CF card.
  2. Transfer Audio Files to the CF Card:

    • Insert the formatted CF card into a card reader connected to your computer.
    • Prepare your audio files in a supported format (16-bit WAV files, up to 48kHz).
    • Name your audio files using the convention SNDxxxxx.WAV, where xxxxx is a five-digit number from 00000 to 01023. For example, SND00001.WAV will be clip #1.
    • Copy the audio files to the root directory of the CF card.
  3. Insert the CF Card into the Binloop HD:

    • Safely eject the CF card from your computer.
    • Insert the CF card into the corresponding slot on the Binloop HD channel you are using.
  4. Play the Audio Files:

    • Ensure the Binloop HD is powered on and initialized (the 'READY' LED should be on).
    • Press the Test Button (the gray button above the slot) for the channel with the CF card. The status LED should turn green, indicating playback.
